Environmental Remediation

Whether it's contaminated soil, groundwater, sediment, or surface water, our engineers and geologists have designed and implemented remediation strategies at hundreds of sites throughout the United States and Canada. Our ability to approach complex remediation challenges is based on strong technical knowledge of both traditional and innovative technologies with knowledge of state and federal regulations. SGT JV has broad experience in developing and applying remedial strategies for sites affected by metals, volatile organic compounds, petroleum compounds, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, and radiological contamination.

General Contractor/Construction Management

SGT JV engineers and project managers have extensive experience with large and small marine, civil, and industrial construction projects. Our team has completed projects ranging from tenant improvements of an existing structure to comprehensive design/build of new structures to on-site support of submarine cable installation. Our staff has successfully completed hundreds of projects valued from $5,000 to $27,000,000.

Geotechnical Engineering

SGT JV geotechnical engineers have designed foundations for very large structures with unusually large floor loads. We have performed slope stability analyses for natural slopes, man-made slopes, embankment dams and slopes in municipal solid waste. SGT JV staff have designed pre-loads with wick drains to mitigate foundation settlement and designed pile foundations for buildings and marine structures. We have specialized expertise in the geological engineering of rock masses, and in particular, with sheared and chaotic block-in-matrix rocks and melanges.

Stormwater Management

SGT JV provides a complete range of stormwater engineering and management services and evaluation, testing, and installation of stormwater technologies. Our engineers have engineered and designed innovative Best Management Practices (BMPs), prepared comprehensive stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and provided detailed mapping of stormwater infrastructure in GIS. Our engineers are certified in the latest SWPPP development, implementation, and inspection required under California regulations (QSD/QSP). We are at the forefront of developing stormwater technology across the United States.

Industrial Wastewater and Groundwater Treatment

Our team has evaluated, designed, constructed, and operated industrial wastewater and groundwater treatment systems at sites across the United States. We have assisted our clients in developing creative and innovative treatment methods and upgraded existing treatment systems. We have designed treatment systems capable of removing metals, petroleum products, and solids from water at flow rates ranging from 5 gpm to 12 MGD.
